Key takeaways

  • Jupid keeps the books and builds Schedule C for US-person LLC owners, with plans from $50 a month.

  • crmchat turns Telegram deal chats into a pipeline, and its Starter plan holds 50 leads at no cost.

  • Request Finance and Coinbase Business take stablecoin payments, while Mercury and Wise Business stay fiat only.

  • Koinly or CoinTracker calculate the gain when you later sell tokens you were paid in.

  • A non-resident owner files a pro forma Form 1120 with Form 5472 instead of Schedule C.

Jupid wins at the books and the Schedule C, while crmchat wins at Telegram deal flow. Calendly books paid intro calls and Docusign eSignature gets the agreement signed. Request Finance and Coinbase Business invoice in stablecoins, with Mercury and Wise Business holding the fiat. Koinly and CoinTracker work out gains on tokens you sell later.

How does Jupid turn an LLC's transactions into a Schedule C?

Jupid maps every bank, Stripe and Deel transaction to a specific Schedule C line, then fills gross receipts, expenses and net profit on the return from those same books. Banks connect through Plaid with read-only access, or you upload a CSV export. Jupid reports 95.9% categorization accuracy, and it asks you about a transaction when it is unsure instead of guessing.

Those questions arrive in WhatsApp or iMessage, so you can confirm whether a Token2049 ticket counts as a business expense from your phone. The Solo plan costs $50 a month or $390 a year and includes quarterly tax estimates, deduction checks, federal and state filing, and CPA review. Jupid is SOC 2 Type II certified, which matters when you connect the account that receives client payments.

Fits: a US-person owner, because the IRS treats a single-member LLC as a disregarded entity whose owner reports on Schedule C and pays self-employment tax. Check first if you are a non-resident owner: Jupid's pages describe Schedule C filing and do not mention Form 5472, so ask Jupid how that package is handled. Crypto reaches Jupid only after it lands in a connected account or a CSV.

How does crmchat turn Telegram DMs into a deal pipeline?

crmchat syncs your Telegram folders into a CRM pipeline, so each prospect chat becomes a deal with stages, custom properties and reminders next to the conversation. The crmchat bot sends a daily digest of follow-ups. You can also add a lead by forwarding a Telegram message or by scanning a QR code at an event. When the pipeline is thin, crmchat offers a Web3 decision-makers database of 7,000+ verified Telegram contacts from Token2049, Devconnect, Korea Blockchain Week and other events. For a full one-person setup, see this solo consultant CRM guide.

The Starter plan caps you at 50 CRM leads and one Telegram account, and the Personal plan at $29 a month ($20 billed yearly) removes the lead cap. crmchat tracks deals, not money, so invoices and books live in other tools. Custom properties worth adding to each deal:

  • Agreed rate and billing period

  • Payment currency: token, stablecoin or fiat

  • Chain and wallet address for payment

  • Next step and its date

How does Calendly get a paid discovery call booked?

Calendly turns a Telegram thread into one booking link that, on the Standard plan at $10 per seat a month, charges the client through Stripe or PayPal before the call. That suits a consultant who sells a first tokenomics review as a paid hour. Calendly's Notetaker can also write an AI recap of the meeting, which gives you a record of what the founder asked for. The Free plan allows 1 event type and 1 calendar connection without payments, which is enough if your intro calls are unpaid. Calendly does not fit someone who agrees everything in chat and never books calls. Money collected through Stripe or PayPal still has to reach your books through your bank or a connected account.

Why move a Telegram-agreed deal into Docusign eSignature?

Docusign eSignature lets a founder sign your advisory agreement on any device without creating an account, which turns a chat agreement into a signed record. Reusable templates keep your standard consulting agreement or statement of work ready to send. Write the payment currency, chain and wallet address into the contract itself so the invoice later matches it.

The Personal plan is an annual commitment of $132 and sends 5 envelopes a month. Collecting payment during signing sits on the Business Pro plan, not on Personal.

Fits: a consultant who sends a few agreements a month and wants them stored in one place. Does not fit: someone signing many short engagements each month, who will hit the Personal envelope cap and needs a higher plan.

How does Request Finance invoice a client who pays in USDC?

Request Finance puts your wallet address on a proper invoice that can be denominated in fiat and paid in stablecoins, so the client's finance team gets a document instead of a chat message. Accountants can be given access to the records. Record each payment at its US dollar value on the day it arrives, because the IRS treats crypto received for services as ordinary income that contractors report on Schedule C. Request Finance has two entry points on its pricing page:

It fits clients who pay in stablecoins but need an invoice for their own books. It does not fit a solo who wants accounting sync, which starts on the Growth plan at $300 a month on the same Request Finance pricing page.

Can Mercury be the US bank account for a Web3 consultant's LLC?

Mercury opens accounts for US companies whose founders live across the globe, so it can hold the fiat side of your LLC, according to its Web3 page. Wires to exchanges such as Coinbase and Gemini go out with your business name as the sender. Use the account for client wires, card spend and owner draws. The base Mercury plan costs $0 a month and includes free ACH, domestic wires and USD international wires. Mercury accounts hold fiat only. Mercury does not support money services businesses or exchanges, and founders who live in certain countries cannot open accounts, a list it publishes. It fits the fiat side of a consulting LLC, including non-resident founders from supported countries. It does not fit anyone who wants to hold USDC in the same account or whose business looks like an exchange.

When does Coinbase Business make sense for stablecoin income?

Coinbase Business keeps invoices, payment links and conversion between USDC and USD in one company account, so stablecoin pay reaches dollars without passing through a personal exchange account. It also trades across 200+ crypto assets, connects to common accounting software and exports tax reports. Applying is free, and a fee applies to each completed payment and to auto-conversion from USDC to USD, with the rates visible after login.

Fits: a consultant paid mostly in USDC who wants a business-named off-ramp into a US bank account such as Mercury. Does not fit: an owner outside the countries Coinbase Business serves, since the page lists the US and Singapore. A non-resident owner of a US LLC should confirm eligibility before sending an invoice that names a Coinbase Business address.

What is Wise Business for in a crypto consultant's stack?

Wise Business gives your LLC local account details to get paid in USD, EUR, GBP and other major currencies, which suits a European foundation that pays by bank transfer. You can send invoices and payment links from Wise Business and sync transactions to accounting software. Opening it costs a one-time setup fee of 31 USD. Keep crypto completely away from this account. Wise's cryptocurrency policy does not allow sending money to crypto exchanges or accepting funds from unlicensed crypto platforms. It also does not support businesses involved in exchanging or trading crypto. Wise Business fits the fiat lane for international clients, especially for a non-resident owner billing in euros. It does not fit as an off-ramp for stablecoins or as the account behind a token treasury.

How does Koinly calculate gains on tokens you were paid in?

Koinly tracks transfers between your own wallets so the original cost basis carries over, then reconciles your Form 1099-DA and generates Form 8949. It connects to 800+ exchanges and wallets through API keys, CSV files or public addresses, and it handles DeFi activity such as staking and liquidity pools. Reconciliation matters now, since brokers report gross proceeds for 2025 transactions and basis only for certain transactions from 2026. Selling or swapping tokens you received as pay is a separate gain or loss event from the income itself. The Koinly pricing page lets you preview gains before paying, and plans are one-time payments rather than subscriptions. Koinly outputs include:

  • Form 8949

  • Form 1099-DA reconciliation

  • TurboTax export

  • FreeTaxUSA export

It fits consultants who hold and later sell what they earn. It does not keep business books, so pair it with your bookkeeping tool.

Is CoinTracker the better choice if you file with TurboTax?

CoinTracker is built into TurboTax and H&R Block, which suits a consultant who already files through one of those apps. It supports 500+ exchanges, wallets and blockchains, 50k+ smart contracts and 600+ dapps through read-only access, and it rebuilds cost basis across all of them. On the CoinTracker pricing page, Base costs $59 a year for 100 transactions and Prime costs $199 a year for 1,000. The TurboTax route has a limit. CoinTracker's help center says TurboTax imports at most 1,000 capital gain or loss transactions, and crypto income has to be entered by hand there. CoinTracker fits a holder with moderate activity who is already on a mainstream filing app. It does not fit an active DeFi trader with thousands of disposals who wants a one-click TurboTax import.

Which stack fits a new, a USDC-paid or a non-resident consultancy?

  1. First clients, US-person owner: crmchat Starter for the pipeline, the Calendly Free plan, Request Finance invoicing, Mercury for fiat and Jupid Solo ($50 a month) for the books. These cold outreach scripts help with the first Telegram message.

  2. Paid mostly in USDC: add Coinbase Business for conversion into Mercury, then run Koinly or CoinTracker before filing so disposals reach Form 8949.

  3. Non-resident owner: Mercury and Wise Business for fiat, Koinly for wallets, and a CPA for the pro forma Form 1120 and Form 5472 package. Ask Jupid directly whether it covers that filing before you rely on it.

  4. Steady deal flow: the crmchat Personal plan for unlimited leads, Docusign eSignature for agreements, and the Web3 database for new prospects. Start from finding clients on Telegram or converting conference contacts.

FAQ

Do I file Schedule C if I am a non-resident with a single-member LLC?

Usually not for the LLC itself. A foreign-owned disregarded LLC files a pro forma Form 1120 with Form 5472 attached, by mail or fax only, and the penalty for not filing Form 5472 is $25,000. Schedule C applies when the owner is a US person, so confirm your case with a CPA.

How do I record a payment received in USDC?

Record it as business income at its US dollar fair market value on the day you received it, as the IRS digital assets page describes. A later sale or swap of that USDC is a separate gain or loss that Koinly or CoinTracker calculates.

Can Mercury or Wise Business hold crypto?

No. Mercury accounts hold fiat only, and Wise Business does not allow transfers to crypto exchanges. Use Coinbase Business or Request Finance for stablecoins and send only converted dollars to the bank.

Do I still need a CPA if I use Jupid?

For a simple Schedule C, Jupid prepares the return from your categorized books and the Solo plan includes CPA review. Foreign ownership, Form 5472 and heavy crypto trading are still worth a conversation with a CPA who knows both areas.
