How to Find Telegram Contacts of Business Owners in Russia/CIS

This article shows you how to systematically build a targeted list of Telegram contacts for business owners and decision-makers in Russia and the CIS. Following this process will allow you to generate a CSV file ready for personalized outreach campaigns. You will need access to a business data provider (like DataNewton), a contact search bot by CRMChat, an AI assistant (like Claude or ChatGPT), and your CRMChat account.

1. Access a Business Data Provider. Go to a service like DataNewton to find companies based on specific criteria, such as industry code (ОКВЭД) and revenue. The goal is to obtain an API key to allow your AI assistant to access this data.

   
   

   

   
   

2. Connect Your AI Assistant to DataNewton. Open your AI assistant and provide a prompt instructing it to connect to the DataNewton API. You will need to include your API key in this prompt.

## Setup — connect these two services first

- Inside CRMChat, find the contact-lookup bot @crmchatcontactbot. We will use it to find the phone numbers of company founders for the businesses we identify in Datanewton.

4. Instruct the AI to Find Contacts. Add instructions to your prompt for the AI to perform the following sequence. Here is a search query example for CRMChat:
   
   

5. Retrieve Founder's Phone Number. The Contact Search Bot will return details about the company, including the founder(s). The AI will then select the founder to retrieve their contact details, including their phone number.

   
   

6. Convert Phone Numbers to Telegram Usernames. Once the AI has compiled a list of phone numbers, navigate to Instruments > Phone -> Telegram in your CRMChat dashboard.

   
   

7. Start the Conversion. Paste the list of phone numbers into the text box and click Start conversion. The tool will process the numbers and generate a file containing the corresponding Telegram usernames where available.
